Life is an adventure
and therapy, too,
is an adventure —
into unknown and
previously unnoticed worlds.
Like life, therapy coaxes us to leave behind
that which we have outgrown — or that which has
been brutally shorn away from us.
During such times there may be a tendency to
focus on externals rather than spend time in
self-reflection. Yet it is in the very act of
psychotherapy's exploring inner landscapes which
ensures that new opportunities will not be missed.
This happens more readily when we feel deeply
seen, supported, and accompanied. Good
therapy can help us navigate all kinds of loss on a
sometimes excruciating journey that always
proffers jewel-like meaning.
